Managing your time is a question of setting priorities and working efficiently to meet them.
The main tool for long-term planning is simply a calendar. We suggest a calendar like one attached here: Study Hall Calendar However, there are more than enough options in the market for you to be able to choose one which suits you.

While many of you may rely on your cell phones for scheduling, it is difficult to organize and visualize the long term. You may want to coordinate the two, using the cell phone to record appointments, and then transferring the information to a calendar.

The key is to determine your priorities accurately. There are various methods for doing this, but frankly the easiest we have seen is the ABC method.

A is for activities that are urgent and important — must does

B is for activities that are important but not urgent — should does

C is for activities are neither urgent nor important – ticklers, will be dones

You can use the Study Hall “Prioritizer” by dividing up tasks by categories in each column (example here) and then using the A, B, C method to rank your tasks.

Then shift items on the “Prioritizer” to your Calendar. Make a point of moving all your A tasks to open slots of time, filling B and C tasks if there is room. Draw a line through the tasks as you finish them; this gives you a wonderful sense of accomplishment.
